MelodyTrip.com Launches Web Site for music enabling music lovers to plan, book and enjoy travel to music festivals in the US and beyond

March 1, 2006 (Cambridge, MA) MelodyTrip LLC today announced the launch of www.melodytrip.com , the first US-based website focused entirely on serving the music festival community. MelodyTrip features online and offline resources to plan, book musical travel for its members, who will ensure that members can conveniently and cost-efficiently plan trips to music festivals throughout the world. Members will be able to tap into MelodyTrip's knowledgeable and experienced staff, online resources, travel discounts and special complimentary offers from partners to create the ultimate festival experience with the minimum of time and monetary investments.

MelodyTrip will feature information for fans of all different types of festivals of all genres and location types such as the Chicago-based Chicago Blues Festival to the Coachella Festival, a huge rock festival held in the desert in California.

Members can book hotels, airfare, and rental cars on MelodyTrip. For those who want full service, MelodyTravel representatives can work directly with the individual or groups to customize the perfect musical journey. And for those who want a VIP experience, MelodyConciege is the answer.

Matt Casey, MelodyTrip CEO, says, "MelodyTrip fills a void that has existed for live music fans for too long. I became a huge music festival fan myself after going to Jazzfest in New Orleans several years ago. I had been too New Orleans several times before for conventions but had only seen it through tourist's eyes. Through Jazzfest, I was able to experience the people, cuisine, music and unique culture that make it such a special place. Upon return, I began looking into other festivals, and was amazed that there was no centralized information source and communications channel for festivals, live music fans, and bands. There are thousands of unique, exciting music festivals going on each year and now there is a place to research, follow festivals, discuss and connect with people with the same passion for music."

If you are new to music travel, MelodyTrip will build an entire trip for you based around your music tastes, preferred climate, ideal location, and other aspects outside the festival that will make your trip perfect: culinary preferences, type of accommodations, and sightseeing interests. If you have attended festivals in the past, MelodyTrip will be able to tailor new excursions based on past likes and dislikes. And even if you are a seasoned traveler and know exactly what you want, MelodyTrip can remove all the time, details and hassles of planning the voyage and enable you to simply enjoy your journey.

Casey adds "Whether the festival itself is your entire focus, or you see it just the catalyst for enjoying the culture, food, and sightseeing a particular city or area, has to offer, we can make it happen. You can head to paradise through the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, experience classical music in the beautiful, woodsy Berkshires region of Massachusetts at the Tanglewood Music Festival, or experience the excitement of Las Vegas at the Vegoose rock festival. Through our knowledgeable staff and festival, hotel, airline partners, we are able to deliver everything the musical traveler needs; trip recommendations and planning, convenience, expertise, tremendous savings, discounts on future trips, and special offers and perks available only to MelodyTrip travelers."
